School Age Program Facilitator

We are recruiting for incredible School Age Educators for our before and after school program in Ingersoll, ON.


These positions are for 25-26 hours per week, split shift, with full days on PD Days, March Break and Summer.


You have:

  • Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (preferred)
  • CYW, BEd, Child and Family Studies graduates also considered
  • Experience with children from 3.8 to 12 or are looking to start your career with a great agency
  • Current First Aid and CPR Level C
  • Able to work split shifts 6:45am to school start and school end to 5:30/6:00pm
  • School Age positions work full days on PD Days, March Break and Summers
  • Able to lift a minimum of 40lbs
  • New graduates welcome! 


It would be great if you also had (but it’s not necessary to start!):

  • Current Food Handler’s Certificate
  • Recent Professional Learning

School Age Supervisor

 We are recruiting for an awesome School Age Supervisor!


Overview:

This position is responsible for mentoring and supervising staff in the planning and implementation of a high quality, developmentally appropriate program that enhances children’s development in all domains and in accordance with program philosophies and legislation requirements. They act as a role model and provide an emotionally supportive environment with ongoing support and guidance. The position evaluates the program and staff, ensuring compliance with the Child Care & Early Years Act and OCCC program standards. 


Hours:

  • Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 
  • Additional hours required as needed. 
  • Weekly schedules will include a minimum of 3 split shifts, up to 5 split shifts based on program needs each week. 
  • Evenings may be required for meetings, special events, etc. . 


Qualifications:    

  • ECE Diploma and registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience, 3 years preferred
  • Demonstrated Leadership abilities  
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C 
  • Current Food Handler’s Certificate 
  • Clean driving record with own vehicle and appropriate insurance
     


Skills:

  • Knowledge, understanding and practical application of How Does Learning Happen? And other provincial pedagogical documents 
  • Meet and maintain all requirements of the Child Care & Early Years Act, 2014 
  • Strong knowledge of child development, special needs, behavior supports, nutrition and community resources; keeps current 
  • Organized with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Superior observation and documentation skills 
  • Strong mentoring and coaching abilities 
  • Collaborative communication skills 
  • Computer skills – MS Office, cloud-based applications

Location:  Oxford County - various locations.


 Compensation:

- $26.61 +$2 + $1.39 CWELCC for a total of $30.00
