Oxford Community Child Care has been an active member of the non-profit community since 1987. We are committed to our vision of offering quality child care programs and support services for families with children, infant to school age, throughout Oxford County.
Oxford Community Child Care has strong rural roots. In 1987, Southwestern Women for the Support of Agriculture verified a need for rural child care and established Oxford Community Child Care. A volunteer board of nine Directors formed the not-for-profit organization. In 1993, OCCC became a registered charitable organization.
Since then, OCCC has grown dramatically adding and changing programs to meet the needs of our community. We are now a multi-service organization serving families with children from birth through school age.
At Oxford Community Child Care, we believe that children are competent, capable, curious and rich in potential. We are committed to high quality early learning and child care where children learn and grow to become confident, independent and contributing members of our community.
Our vision is to provide the leadership necessary to offer services that promote healthy growth, development and learning for children and their families.
The Board of Directors provides professional expertise and guidance to the Executive Director within a governance model. The Board is responsible for the oversight accountability of the organization’s mission, direction and outcomes.
